BIOGRAPHY OF SPEAKERS
Herbert Lee is a world-class, award-winning speaker with over 20 years experience in giving workshops and seminars. He joined Toastmasters International in November 1980 in Canada. Herbert has conducted workshops for multi-national companies including Dun and Bradstreet, KPMG, Standard Chartered Bank and many others. He has also trained and coached CEO's, senior executives, public relations professionals and politicians in the fine art of public speaking. His research into the subject spans a period of 20 years and his personal library on presentation skills includes over 200 volumes. He has written numerous articles on public speaking and has written 4 books on presentation skills. His latest book, The 3D Presentation System, compresses his 20+ years as a working professional into a compact resource.
Philip Lai has been with Toastmasters for many years and was President and Founder of several clubs. He is greatly respected amongst Toastmasters as an expert in organizational development and as a designer of innovative and highly effective workshops on Communication and Leadership skill. He is a Human Resource Manager by profession. He will talk about many practical aspects of Communication.

Christine Lau
is an experienced secondary school English Language teacher for 32 years and a HKUSPACE tutor (speech festival, pronunciation and speaking skills). She is also an Executive Committee member of the Hong Kong Schools Music and Speech Association. Being an active Toastmaster since 1995, she is currently President of Hong Kong Toastmasters Club, the oldest club in HK. She will share with us the common pitfalls we face when we communicate in English as a non-native speaker.

 

Talis WONG is currently the Governor of Hong Kong Division of Toastmaster International. He has conducted numerous workshops on communication for students, executives and professionals as well as being a Certified Neuro-Linguistics Programming (NLP) Practitioner. Professionally, he is a civil engineer. He is a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, UK, member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, and Associate Fellow of Permanent Way Institution, UK. He graduated from University of Hong Kong in 1979.
Dr Yee Him John Wong is a doctor by profession and a specialist in the Psychiatry of the Aged. He is also Chairman of the Liberal Party Kowloon West Region and an elected member of the Kowloon City District Council. He is an active speaker, both in community issues and in Communication skills. He will talk about Interviewing Skills.
