New World First Bus (NWFB) is the launch customer of DENNIS Trident with 11 metres long. The reason for the company to introduce such version of Trident is that, some of the routes operated by NWFB are not suitable to use 12-metre buses. Alexander ALX500 bodies were chosen to build on these 11-metre buses.
The 11-metre Tridents are very similar to the 12-metre version. Except that due to the shortened length, the exit door is moved forward. Also, NWFB adopts 2-piece windscreens on both upper and lower deck, which is quite similar to those of the ALX400 bodies in England.
The 11-metre Tridents started their services on 29 May, 1999.
