MY NAME
Chow Tsz Yan, my name is.
When I was young, I don¡¥t like it very much as it seems to be a girl¡¥s name. Yes, it is true. I really know 2 girls called same as me! It is very embarrassing indeed. My friends always sneered me. As a result, I do not like my name. I used to ask my ma why I have this name and who give me the name.
At first, she did not tell me anything about my name. Later, while my mother told me the 2 meanings of my name, my attitude was totally changed. She told me that my name was to respect the great politician of China --- Chou En-Lai who died in 1978, my birth year. My grandfather loved him very much because he did lots of good thing to strengthen China. During the Civil Revolution, he still placed the interest of the state on the first position even he had to take risk of angering the big boss, Mao. His attitude is worth studying. My grandpa wanted me to learn from him. So, he called me Tsz Yan, meaning that ¡§the son like Chou En-Lai¡¨.
At the same time, Tsz Yan also means that the boy is beloved by father and mother. They give the greatest love to their son. When the boy grows up, he will remember the kindness of the parent.
Known the explanation of my name, I gradually accept it. Most importantly, I understand the hope of my family about me. Since that, I set up a series of target to fulfill their expectation.
