American Steve Rosse, aged 36, joined the Sydney Symphony (Australia) in 1990.
He is Lecturer of Tuba at the Canberra Institute of the Arts,Australian
National University. Mr. Rosse previously has been on the faculties of the
Sydney Conservatorium, University of Newcastle, and the University of Western
Australia. Rosse has performed for several television and comercial recordings.

Mr. Rosse has toured the USA, Europe, Asia, and Australia as a soloist. He has
perfromed as Guest Principal Tuba with the San Francisco and San Diego Symphony
Orchestras, as well as with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields. He has
also been a member of the New Mexico Symphony (USA), RAI Torino Radio Orchestra
(Italy), and the World Orchestra of Jeunesses Musicales.

Rosse is currently Vice President of International Relations for T.U.B.A,hosted
two TubaMania International Conferences in 1995 and 1999, and was active in the
organising of ITECs in 1997 and 1998, and served on the jury for the 2000
Markneukirchen International Tuba Competition.
