Impression

Two years ago there was an article that talked about the phenomenon of young male animals turning violent when reared in the absence of older ones. At that time I sent it to some friends in the hope of alerting them that it is very important young leaders be under the proper covering of older ones.

I had the impression that the Lord wants some of the mature male leaders in the church to lead the younger ones, say in their 30's and 40's, so that the younger ones would not turn so violent. This would call for obedience on both parties. Just a few months ago, the Lord told me about this. Immediately my eyes lit up and I could see much more clearly some of the "not-so-pleasant things", such as the use of violence, tantrum spells, bad language etc among both male and female leaders, happening in the church. Some leaders are too violent to be leaders. It is a Hong Kong custom to use violence to resolve issues and we have to be very careful not letting this enter into the church.

We do "ride on the wings of other people's experiences". Therefore, it is a big blessing that we have mature leaders who have gone through storms in their lives to shelter younger leaders through their experiences.
