Dictation (Rw p.10)

Mr Chan was a very rich man who lived in the city. One day, he took his son to the country. He wanted his son to see how poor people lived. First they travelled by plane for about an hour. After getting off the plane, they walked for two hours to a farm where a very poor family lived. They stayed there for a week.

On their return from trip, Mr Chan asked his son, .How did you like the trip, son?・

.It was great, Dad,・ said his son.

.So what did you learn from your trip, dear?・ asked Mr Chan.

.Well, I saw lots of interesting things, Dad. At home we only have one pet dog, but they have several. They have chicken, ducks and other animals too. We swim in a pool but they swim in a huge lake. We have a garden but they have green fields where the children can run about freely. We light lanterns in our garden at festival times but they have bright stars at night. We buy frozen food at the supermarket but they get fresh food from the farm. We have lock our door when we go out but they can sleep with their doors open. Thank, Dad. I・ve learned a very good lesson. Now I know how poor we are,・ said his son.

Very often we only notice what we do not have and forget what we have. If we can enjoy what we have already, we will live a happier life.
