Effects of gambling on Hong Kong teenagers

Explanation:

First of all, it is a matter of currency.  Hong Kong government has just legalized soccer betting last year but many people are still against this while some said that it is fine and suggestible to legalize it.  For example, organizations like churches and schools are against this idea.  Thus I want to find out the reasons behind their arguments on both sides and will this enhance the popularity of gambling among teenagers even though the Hong Kong Jockey Club forbidden anyone below 18 to enter its centers.  Besides, Hong Kong has horse racing for a long period of time and is close to Macau, a city famous for its casinos.  Thus, Hong Kong is prone to gambling as people can gamble if they want to.  It seems that we should look into the benefits and disadvantages of gambling before we decide whether we support it or not.

Teenagers are easily addicted to new attractions and gimmicks.  Gambling is regarded as the quickest way to earn money and a method to demonstrate they have grown up.  I believe that the effects of gambling will become more prominent after the legalizing soccer betting in Hong Kong and I have a number of questions in my mind: What are the effects on them? Will they be adversely affected by gambling? Or is this a method for them to learn how to control their behavior? In this academic essay, I am gong to summarize other scholars¡¦ researches and findings on this topic.
