On
the 24th February 2002, there was an activity or as you call
ceremony in the morning, starting at 10:00am to 12:15pm. It was a
day where we celebrated ‘Thinking Day’, as we all know
'Thinking Day’ is a day for all members to think of each other
with love and friendship. The date chosen was 22nd February
because it was the joint birthday of Lord and Lady Baden-Powell.
Anyway, at 9:30 there were numerous brownies, guides and rangers
arriving at our headquarters. Each company including ours was
preparing for their activity. We 96th WK Coy A had been chosen to
be DJ’s at this ceremony, every member in our company had to
prepare some music to let other brownies, guides and rangers to
pick to listen and enjoy. This activity was quite successful,
because we figured that it was quite popular and enjoyable. There
was also an activity or as we said performance, which was singing
which we had to participate in. We had to sing two songs which
were ‘Thinking Day’ Song and ‘Thinking Day is Giving Day’
Song. Me, myself had to play the violin and they had to sing. We
weren’t really prepared so it was a bit messy and confusing. But
we tried our best to make this performance a success, well at
least we tried. Everybody in our company had part in singing the
two songs, we were nervous and a bit messy but it went through
quite nicely so it was OK. Performing in front of so many people
wasn’t that easy but it was very short so it wasn’t that
embarrassing and scary. There were other performances such as the
performance done by the brownies, which was a drama about the
history and the past of the Lord and Lady Baden-Powell. During
this ceremony there were other games, art and craft made by other
companies too, we went to play them and we enjoyed them. |
