When To Use Adjectives

We use adjectives:

(a) to describe things or people:

• The sea is blue.
• The sky is overcast.
• Tom is rich and clever.
• Mary is always interesting.

(b) to identify things or people:

• I want the small, red book.
• They live in the house with the green door.
