            This is a continuance of the book called “The Bridges of Madison County”. Robert Kincaid, a photographer when he was young, can not forget Francesca Johnson, his love fourteen years before. Then, at the age of sixty-eight, Robert decides to go on a journey to find Francesca.

            At the same time, Francesca is hoping everyday that Kincaid will come to find her. Her husband, Richard, died some years ago. She always feels regretful to her husband when she thinks of the romance between Robert and her.

            On the other side of the world, a young man, Carlisle McMillan, is searching who his father is. He has asked her mother, Wynn McMillan, about it through a letter and gets some clues. In fact, Wynn has almost forgotten about Carlisle’s father as they only had a very short romance before.

            From then on, the story becomes more and more complicating. Who is Carlisle’s father? Will Robert succeed to find Francesca? Or will he give up to find her eventually?

            In this book, there are many very specific descriptions about the feelings of the characters, including their own reflections, which can show the characters’ personalities and their attitudes towards their lives and these make the story become more attractive. Besides, there are many recollections from the characters in this book, showing the past events and the relationships between the characters, so the time of this story always switches, from the present to the past or vice versa. Actually I quite enjoy reading this book, as I like romance story. Besides, this book is not only romance story, but it also contains the elements of families and life issues which make the story become more realistic.

           If you have read “The Bridges of Madison County” before, this book is very suitable to you because it is a very fabulous conclusion to that book. If you have never read that book before, never mind, you will still enjoy reading this book, because this book is really very good and it must impress you a lot, as the ending is touching and there are some inspirations in it. Therefore, I highly recommend this book to you and hope you can get the same feeling as me!
