Famine 30
雖然未有到過非洲，但我相信肚餓的感覺每人也感受過。但挨餓的滋味呢?可冇試過?
今年會是我第三年參加饑饉三十。記得在第一年的時候都有膽心自己能否完成。但當計時開始後，營中二千多位饑饉戰士也跟我一同開始了饑饉不住食三十小時。每年饑饉也會下雨，那次也不例外。在最後的9小時雨下得很大。我們只可以用垃圾袋和鐵棍切出一個小小的帳幕。十多人帶著濕透的身軀擠身於這細少的帳幕中。那時我我患上了感冒，正當大家也冒雨去玩的時候我則只可以一個人坐在帳幕下無耐地等待著，看著雨越下越大，身子又濕又累。完全地感覺得什麼是"無助"。但我告訴自己不可以放棄，因為有更多人在地球的另一端挨餓，在等待。我只需要挨餓三十小時，但他們所等的郤是無止境，無答案的等待。
去年是我第一次自行饑饉，在饑饉的前一日我去了看band show第二天又要去補習，真的累透了。但自問去年也能做到今年怎樣不能呢？！我跟饑饉營中的朋友互相鼓勵．才能堅持至最後。用自己的意志用去完成去堅持完成，就更令我感到自豪了！
今年我也會自行饑饉。而今年的主題是幫助在非洲的兒童，所得善款會捐往非洲（宣明會）幫助他們發展和解決食物問題。
我在這裏分享我的經驗，不是要你讚助我，而是告訴大家這活動中我所見所聞和感受。三十小時中不只是挨餓，還有無助，無家可歸，望天打掛.....等
或者你會問三十小時不進食會否很果難。但我肯定的告訴你 "你一定可以做到!!!" 三十小時很快便會過去，可以用三十小時打機訓覺何不用三十小時去幫人。
單是捐錢是不足夠的，希望大家用行動去了解去感受他們的境況。我相信這才可以令你更明白更樂意地真心去幫助他們(或者其他有需要的人)
香港近年來經濟的確很差，每人也膽心自己會飯碗不保。但也未至於挨餓沒機會進學!有資料指平均七秒就有一位小童是死於饑荒!!!七秒! 我們用三十小時可以幫到多少人呢?救到多少人呢?
所以下次當你買cd，買名牌衫的時候，請想清楚你是否真的需要呢!當你埋怨上天待你不夠好不給與你名成利就時，請細想一下在第三世界的人。他們可有機會去埋怨呢?!
有家人有家有食物我們真的很幸福的啊! 上天贈與你的，何不也盡自己能力去幫助他人贈給他們一個機會呢?
Although I haven't been to Africa, I know that a lot of people on Africa do not have enough food. This is the 3rd year I join Famine 30 .For the 1st year, I didn't know if I could finish it. However, when the function stared, nearly 2000people stared not to eat anything for 30hours. And I could do it!
It was raining particularly heavy for the last 9 hours. We sat on the wet playground and used some plastic bags and steel to build a small "camp" . 10 people sat in the small "camp". WE could do nothing but wait. Unfortunately ,I got a cold, I could just stay in the "camp" I was hungry, tired, and sweaty. At that time I totally knew what is the meaning of "helpless". But I told myself not to give up. I must insist until the last minute. There are many people who are much poorer than me in another side of the world .
Last year i was self-famine 30 ( i did it myself and didn't join the "Famine camp"). I was so worried that i couldn't finish it. In the camp, I stayed with 2000people and we played some games, shared our feelings and supported each other. That was batter than struggling alone.
During "30hours" I was very tired. Before that i went to see a band show and i needed to study hard. but I phoned my friends who joined the camp, we supported each other, so i can finish the self Famine 30!
This year's theme is "to help the children in Africa" . All the donated money will sent to Africa to provide them some food. According to the statistics there's a child die of starvation every 7seconds. 7 seconds!!!! is it a big surprise?! A small amount of money will save their lives. Why don't we lend them a hand?
I'm sharing my experience here for appealing for your support . You may feel it's difficult to starve for 30 hours. But I'm sure "YOU CAN DO IT!" .You may spend 30 hours to sleep ,play TV games. Why don't use 30 hours to help the poor?
Hong Kong's economy is going down .Everyone is worrying about their life and job. But we are not the poorest one. We still have chance to go to school . we still have food and home.
So next time when you buy some luxury things ,please think twice before you pay for it. Do you really need it? When you blame the god didn't provide a good life for you, please think about the people in 3rd world, and people in the was. Do they have chance to complain about that?
We have food ,family and friends ,we are so lucky!
