The story is about the fight for the top honor in the world of gamblers. Fu and Hoi are two of the most reputable gamblers in the gaming world known respectively as the king of the north and the king of the south. Sing and his sister Tong are opera performers. Sing has long admired Hoi's fame and aspires to be as good as Hoi one day. After much pleading, Hoi finally agrees to accept him as his disciple. Fu has a daughter Lei who secretly plots to take over his father's place. She later gangs up with Fu and Hoi's enemies against them. Hoi's eyes are wounded by his enemies leaving him permanently blind while Fu's hand(s) is amputated during the feud. Both Hoi and Fu decide to pass on all their knowledge to Sing and let him seek vengence for them. After much hard work, Sing finally becomes the new king and takes on their enemies.
