On his way to the divorce lawyer's office, Tat receives a call from one of his counselee, Kitty, who sounds very distressed. Worried for her safety, he heads for Kitty's house instead. He arrives just in time to witness Kitty being murdered by Missy(Lee Guai Ying). Missy is under her husband's order to teach Kitty, his mistress, a lesson for being greedy but Missy decides to kill Kitty instead.

During their struggle, Missy loses her prosthetic eye but manages to knock Tat unconscious. When the police arrives, Tat is found lying on the floor with the murder weapon in his hand. The only clue he can offer the police is that the murderess wears a prosthetic eye. However, with all the circumstantial evidence pointing at him, Tat becomes the prime suspect in the case and is subsequently tried and sentenced to life imprisonment. While in prison, Tat unwillingly follows through with the divorce proceedings and grants Ling the divorce she wants.

Sing(Chin Ka Lok) and Mun are two brothers working in the same police department. While escorting two convicts to prison, namely Tat and a robber that they apprehended in a robbery attempt, they are intercepted by the robber's comrades who have come to help him escape. During the shootout, Mun is injured by one of the robbers who is later gunned down. Thinking Tat is the one who injured his brother, Sing tries to kill Tat. Tat has no choice but to run for his life, making him a wanted fugitive.

With no where to go, Tat turns to Ling for help. She puts him up at her mother's house. Ling persuades Tat to give himself up, but Tat refuses to confess to a crime that he did not commit. Unwilling to harbor a wanted murderer in her house, Ling's mother tips the police off. In trying to flee from the police, Tat runs into a former counselee Billy(Chan Kit Yee) who offers to help him leave HK but Tat chooses to stay back and track down the real murderess instead. Together with a few former counselee, they begin the search for the one-eyed murderess.

Posing as janitors, they manage to gain entry into eye doctors' offices and access their patient records. However, on their first attempt, they nearly run into Sing who is hot on their trail and they are forced to abort their plan.

Sensing Tat misses Ling, Billy arranges for them to meet. The two of them manage to reconcile their relationship and decide to get back together.

Narrowing their search to eye doctors specializing in prothetics, this time Tat disguises as a telephone repair man and enters an eye clinic where he finally finds what he has been looking for -- Missy's address.

Tat arrives at Missy's place to find her in a physical fight with her husband where he tries to kill her. Tat tries to sneak out of the house with the video tape that would prove his innocence but is stopped by Missy's husband. Just as he is about to draw the gun on him, Sing shoots him from behind. Sing arrests Tat for shooting at his brother but Mun comes out of his coma just in time to clear Tat as the gunman. Tat is finally a free man again.
