12m Leyland Olympians

Citybus first introduced an air-conditioned Leyland Olympian (102) in 1985 for cross-border routes. Later in 1993, Citybus introduced 55 Leyland Olympians for operation on major franchised routes on Hong Kong Island. These buses are fitted with Cummins LTA10 engines and ZF4HP500 gearboxes, and Alexander R-type bodies are used. Among them, 341 (EL7976) is rebodied out of the former non-franchised 122, which had been burnt in a fire and then lengthened to 12 metres.

At first, these buses have blue floors and 3+2 seats, but a refurbishment project was carried out in 2000 in order to improve Citybus' service quality. Now, they have gray shiny floors, newer 2+2 seats, Lite Vision electronic route displays, continuous lights and triangular rings in the compartment. Today, they remain important in the Citybus fleet.
