X Hand will help your fingertips glide
smoothly over your skin and greatly magnify your sense of touch while
performing your self-breasts exam.
Self breast exam aid. Portable/Reusable
X-hand is an assistant tool in doing self-breast
exams. It is simple pouch, which fits over the breast to aid the fingertips
in gliding over the skin. The pouch reduces friction and gives a smooth
movement while magnifying your sense of touch.
How to perform self-breast exam: In order
to detect changes or possible problems in your breast at an early stage,
it is recommended that all women over the age of 12 should examine their
breasts ever month. The best time to do is when the breasts are least
tender, normally about a week after menstruation starts. Pregnant, breast-feeding
or post-menopausal women should continue self-examination once a month.
If you discover a lump or any changes in your breast you should seek medical
attention immediately.

Undress and mark a visual examination of the breasts and nipples according
to the following postures separately, looking for changes in their
contour, shape, color, skin texture and any evidence of discharge
from the nipples. (arms relaxed at side, hands on hips, arms raised
above head, and bending forward). |
 |
Standing or sitting, raise your left hand over head and use your right
hand to examine the left breast. Use the pads of three fingers to
examine every part of the breast tissue by moving them in circles
about the size of a dollar coin. Use varying levels of pressure when
palpating, from light to deep (pressure will not injure the breast).
Do not lift the fingers between palpations, but instead glide them
from one spot to the end. Place X-Hand pouch on the breast being examined
to help your fingertips glide over the skin. |
 |
Lie on your back. Raise the left hand over your head and examine your
left breast according to the above-mentioned method of touch and press.
Repeat the same process on the right breast. |
 |
When examining breasts, you should pay
special attention to the areas between the top outside quarter of
the breasts and the ampits. This iswhere most of the breast tissue
is located in the majority of woman |
