generating the background information - here you are required to use a similar technique as that in TMA12 (interview). Check your lessons from that assignment.

a+b) take care about a proper preparation of the interview structure and questions. The following resources will help you: Audio 3-2, Activities 1.3, 1.1, 1.4 and especially 1.6. 

c) be objective - do not mix your own assumptions, opinions with those of the 3 interviewed persons. You should be prepared to recognise differences.

d) the key concept for this part of the course is DEAL & KENNEDY 'S concept of 4 types of organisational culture. Study it, explain it, and try to plot the position of the examined culture on the chart. Support it with arguments based on the interviews - these arguments should be concrete and clear.

e) you might find useful the following Activities: 2.5 and 2.6

f) study section 1.3 and listen to Audio 4-1

Final Info: I have decided to postpone the deadline for receiving TMA14 to 19 March 2001, so you might use another weekend.
