Class Act
This is my sister with me at my graduation from Georgetown College. Hats suit her well... she is currently wearing the "Top 1" at her welding school, a special hat reserved for the student ranked best in the class.

Akakura, Nigata Prefecture
My first (hopefully not last) snowboarding adventure was at one of the more challenging slopes in Japan. Of course I learned this after the fact. Yes, I went down a mile long course on the large mountain behind us. No joke. I was just as shocked as you are.
Nagano Prefecture
Speaking of mountains, this is taken from the top of a ski resort mountain. It was one of my first weeks in Japan, so it was a nice introduction to the beauty of this country. It was the first of May, so while it was still a bit chilly, there was no snow. The slopes were used merely for sight seeing. (from left: Bobbi, me, Yochan, and Mihoko)
