LINDA HARPER

Involved is one word that best describes senior Linda Harper. Beging vice-president of the National Honor Society, band Chaplin and librarain, a member of the Chess Club and a Key Club Sweetheart keeps Linda busy most of the time.

This year Linda placed second runnerup in the Houma Jr. Miss Pageant and also earned the Academic Scholarship Award. Being nominated for the Teenager of the Year Award is another honor Linda has received.

Currently, Linda has performed in the HLB Talent Show and is preparing for her trip to Washington, D.C. with Close-Up program.

During her afterschool time, Linda models for the High School Fashion Board at Holmes. She also enjoys playing the piano(she's been taking lessons for 12 years), creating hand crafts, dressing up and just having fun.

Going to college at USL to study either accounting or computer programming is included in Linda's future plans. Another thing Linda added in the future plans was, "To get my braces off."

STAN BRIEN

A sphere of activity and thought, combined with a course of continued progress is the phrase that best describes senior Stan Brien. Stan seems to be at top speed when it comes to school, community and self.

Since the age of six, Stan has been a football player. His caree on an organized team began in sixth grade and continued through his senior year as #73, tackle.

A two year memeber of HLB's Varsity Quiz Bowl team is just one more item to add to his list of accomplishments. "Quiz Bowl is one of the main things I'm looking forward to the advancement of the team," commented Stan.

Jokingly, Stan claims to be a member of Beer Drinkers of America(BDA) and list shooting pool and partying among his social activities. He considers physics and psychology his favorite subjects.

In His pursuit of wisdom, Stan includes majoring in business administration or accounting and then continuing on to law school. "If I can't make it in law school, I'll have something to fall back on," explained Stan.
