Miss Diana Schexnayder's


        Traveling, buying new clothes, having an owl collection and being a co-sponsor of the civitan Club are just a few of Miss Diana Schexnayder's many activities. She has been a teacher of English here at H.L. Bourgeois for four years.

        Miss Schexnayder graduated from NSU in 1970, which is when she received her BA. In 1977, she received her Masters. In the near future, she plans to work on getting her plus thirty degree.

        When asked what she thought about teaching at HLB, she said, "Most students here posses self-discipline, which is very important if anything is going to be accomplished."


Coach Don Rodrigue


         "Being around young people makes you feel young, and I just like young people," replied Coach Don Rodrigue when asked what does he likes about teaching.

        Aside from teaching social studies Coach Rodrigue coaches varsity football and J.V. basketball. Coach Rodrigue graduated from McNeese in 1972. he lettered four years in football, playing linebacker and fullback. In the 74-75 school year Coach Rodrigue came to HLB . He received his master degree in 1975.

        On the field Coach Rodrigue is often know as "The Happyman." This nickname was the invention of Craig Winston, a Houma Courier sports columnist, because of his extreme enthusiasm.

        Outside of school Coach Rodrigue is a family man. He enjoys family life with his wife and two children.
