C.A.C. In Outward Bound School, Lumut

During the school holidays(1st Decembr 1999-10th December 1999), three Interactors and three other students from SMJK Hua Lian had the opportunity to participate in the Adventure Course in the Outward Bound School in Lumut.They were sponsored by the Rotary Club of Taiping and the Interact Club of Hua Lian.

Through this ten days coarse,these participants had the oppotunity to know many new friends from other states such as Kuala Lumpur and Kelantan.During the duration of the course,they had to work as a team and help one another.

The instructors of OBS taught the participants a lot of new things which included Compass and Map, Orienteering, Expedition and others.They also learnt new things through interesting and challenging activities.All the participants had to corporate and to help each other to go through the challenging activities which included a jungle tracking course,rock climbing, rappelling a rope course crossing, solo camping and the most exciting course was the sea expedition where the participants had to kayak for hours from Lumut to Teluk Sekedeh, Pulau Pangkor.All the participants enjoyed themselves very much.They learned a lot and gained experiences.They also felt more confident in facing future challenges in life.They hope that in the future they would have the opportunity to participate another course in the Outward Bound School.
