Visit to Little Sister of the Poor

Community Service(19th April 2000)

The Interact Club organized a visit to The Little Sister of the Poor in Penang on the 19th April 2000. This trip consisted of 79 Interactors and 2 teachers. We hired 2 buses and arrived at The Little Sister of the Poor at about 11.00am. We spent an hour visiting the inmates of 'The Sisters of the Poor' which was the main objective of our outing. We donated a sum of RM1450 collected from the pupils and teachers from SMJK Hua Lian a part from the RM500 donated by our club.We sang and chatted with the occupants. They were very happy. We promised that we will come back again next year. The trip ended at 12.00 noon.
