Mooncake Festival / Parade

On the 21th of August 1999, a parade was held in conjunction with the Mooncake Festival.This parade organized by the Tourist Development Corporation was sponsored by Majlis Perbandaran Taiping(MPT).Some interactors and the board of directors participated in the parade.Our contigent also included interactors from SM King Edward, SM St George, and several Rotaractors.We prepared a big lantern which symbolized the Logo of Interact and Rotaract.There were also many clubs and associations which participated this parade.

We gathered at 6.30p.m. at the field opposite the Town Hall.There were many creative and colourfully decorated vehicles already waiting to start off the parade.The parade passed by the Main Road and Kota Road.Mooncakes and mineral water were given free to all the participants.
