This is a kettlebell design I've come up with wanting to do snatches rather safely. This particular model is very light, 10x1kg plates and about 2 kg of structure. Rougly 12 kg total. Because the weights are tightly against each-other and the plane is very large, there's no way you can hurt your wrist/arm snatching this thing. I'm not sure how a heavier model would fare, probably good for a 4x5kg plate set-up. Anyway this is staying like this. It's hardly challenging at 12kg, but it's good fun and I really have no other use for those 10x1kg plates. I might bring this to the new house, but if I'm allowed only 1 kettlebell I want it to be at least 20kg, so I'll wait 'till I build the next one. |
