OK so you want to know about me, the mystery that is the illustrious fish......
hmmm well one major obsession has to be MUSIC and I mean all types and forms of it, plus all the cool people I know who produce it on a daily basis.......
Check it!
All right all right let the music begin! The Following is a break down of the most important music in my life, as of right now :) I hope you check it out, find something new and have your mind blown away!
MUNK~ Is one of the coolest people I know. After fronting an amazing band called Super G he's now doing solo stuff and has an album coming out on Sept 25th. There are 2 reasons to get this CD. 1) cuz you know it rocks and 2) I appear doing some guest vocals! Everyone check it out!
Go here to see some fun pics of me and some of the random people I know :)
Jump, Little Children~ Some of the nicest Southern Boys I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They have a unique form of music that's tough to describe, very southern, sort of irish with a lot of other stuff tossed in. Their new album, Vertigo, is finally coming out on Sept 25th!!!. You MUST go check it when it does!
The Pushstars~ I had the pleasure of ringing in 2001 with these boys in a tiny bar in the Boston area. A Very fun time and lots of  get music. You might recognize them from the Something About Mary soundtrack, or from Me, Myself and Irene or even that major "blockbuster" Gun Shy, starring Sandra Bullock. Regardless of anything the music is wonderful and the shows are constanly fun, I highly reccomend you check them out! NOW! The new disc, Opening Time, is out and about!
Brandan Sweeney~ Yup, yet another artist I've gotten to know over the past year. Rumor has it this amazing artist has a CD in the works but I've gotten nothing confirmed as of yet. But his other CD, Stranger than You rarely leaves my music rotation and that's saying something. As well the other fun thing is that live, most of my pals from Lunar Plexus rock along side Brandan and that makes the shows extra fun!
Guster~Out of everyone here, this might be the most well known of the "bands I know" listing. I had the luck of seeing these guys a whole day into my College career. And it's been an awesome ride ever since. These boys  are taking the summer off and are working out some new tunes for the next round of recording. If you like acousta-pop aka these self proclaimed "wuss rock" boys will not disappoint!
WALTHAM~Remember in the 80's how much fun you had rocking out to things like Foreigner, Rick Springfield and Van Halen? If you miss those days go and check the greatest band in the town of Waltham, trust me, they do not dissapoint. How could tons of screaming felmale fans be wrong?and oh, they have a CD out, yes, you WILL go buy it!
BLeU~ Bleu is one of my new found favorites. He put out a Christmas CD in the winter of 1999 that rocked the party. With an amazing rendition of the 12 days of Christmas pulling in the likes of local well knowns Dicky Barrett, Bill Janowitz and Kay Hannelly as well as up and commers like Guster and the Gravil Pit. His debut solo effort came out in September and is just as good, He's got an amazing falsetto and the tunes have an excellent rocking appeal, Totally fun and entertaining! And he's just a really fun person to hang with, YAY!
The Getaway People~ All righty, the 1st band to be listed that I don't have a personal connection to! These Beck like Rockers from Norway will rock your mind and keep you dancing all night. Yes they had the theme song to the ill-fated TV show Young Americans but hey, they rock anyways and will definitely outlast the memory of that show......
so if you like what you see, have questions, comments etc email me here, k?
Will Hoge~ Will is from Nashville, He's friends with Jump and he is a DOLL!!!! He's got a Bruce Springsteen-esque scratchiness to his voice, trust me it's a good thing....Such fun music and sooooo entertaining to hang with, not to mention the others in the band, like Tres the bass player (soo fun!) and Brian and Kirk who are the greateest ever. Go listen, you will like them!!!
Back Home!
Pete Yorn~ Saw Pete open for Semisonic in April, and then with Ours not too long ago.... ohhhhhhh goood! Just good solid tunes, not much stage banter but that's ok, he can play and that is good. Will be buying the CD in a few day and will have more comments then.... trust me!! Have I lied yet?
Rockwell Church~ Don't ask me how/why I forgot to put these guys on here before since they are amazing! If you like acoustic guitars and have an affection for obscure TV show theme songs you'll definitely dig this duo from Maryland. They come up to Boston every so often and it's definitely a not to miss show!
Chauncey~ So this is JP from Bleu's own band and they kick ass. I highly reccomend everyone go see them, if not for the music than for the hopes of seeing JP get up from the keys and dance around like no one's business. :)
