The Tarahumaras or Rarámuri -

The Rarámuri culture is neither superior nor inferior to our own, it is simply different, and has just as much right to exist and to demand the same respect as any other. It has many values which we should learn and put into practise. As Luigi Fabbris said:

Humanity would be poorer without the Tarahumara. The Tarahumara model is humanity itself, it is the word of centuries and millennia. Thay are not the barbarians, they are a message of poetry and saluation for us, the barbarians and pillagers.

The Rarámuri are the conscience of the sierra.
