What Jesus means to us

  • When the relation with your spouse or friend turns worse and worse - wouldn't you like to receive help? Well, Jesus had helped us.
  • When your personality hurts other people (anger, hatred, envy, unfaithfulness) - but changing yourself seems impossible? For Jesus everything is possible (own experience)!
  • When your future looks everything but bright (unemployment, epidemics, natural disasters, pollution, economy, war...) and fear is creeping in - without Jesus it would probably drive us to despair, too.

All those problems mentioned above and many more are simply the result of our rebellion against and our refusal of God (the bible calls that 'sin'). We realized that several years ago.

We now faced two possibilities: Either to live on as before and neglect and refuse God and His standards - or even worse, to stipulate Him how He better be or act.
Or to turn around like a lost son (see Holy Bible -> New Testament -> Gospel according to Luke -> chapter 15, verses 11-32), honestly admit our sin (see above), acknowledge God's authority (difficult, isn't it?), ask for His forgiveness and believe with a thankful heart that His son Jesus Christ had served the rightful (death) sentence in place of us.
There is no golden mean (as there is no 'just a little bit pregnant').

This decision not only affects our status after our bodily death (heaven and hell don't cease to exist just because one denies them) but also our present life. God has never promised that life on earth will get less troublesome when following Him, but we can endure everything with Him.

You can't buy or earn God's pardon. A membership in a church alone doesn't count either. Only a personal decision out of deep conviction will! And no one can make it for you! Make this decision today, because tomorrow can be too late.

What was our decision, you may ask? For Jesus, of course! He means everything to us!
