Physical Description: His dirty blonde hair is shaggy beyond belief, and his dark blue eyes are often seen to be staring off into the distance. His build is lean and lanky, and his complexion is somewhere between tanned and fair. He has a slightly rumpled look to him that makes some girls coo over him as if he were everyone's little brother... a fact that he cringes at. But try as he might, he's never been able to groom himself to "perfection."
Personality: Shy and reserved, he tends to be a bit confused and awkward with the girls. He hasn't learned the art of flirting, but so far he isn't really interested in doing so. He's a bit uncomfortable around female candidates, and particularly the female riders. Those make him more than just a little nervous, as he's never spent much time around girls before. He tends to comb his hair forward so it's hiding his eyes, and he usually stares at the ground when speaking to girls. He has some good insight, but doesn't dare to say so outof shyness, especially since his voice is at that incredibly awkward changing stage and tends to crack without warning. Still, he's most himself when he's playing his fiddle or his lute.
History: The third child of five, he was born as a weyrbrat to greenrider-brownrider weyrmates. At the age of twelve, around the same time with his siblings as well, their parents decided it was time for them to learn a useful trade. Much to his relief, he wasn't apprenticed in the mines as his oldest brother had been, or to the glasscraft Master like his youngest brother. Instead, he was assigned to the WeyrHarper, and was one of the two of his siblings who were allowed to remain at the Weyr. The others had to seek their apprenticeships at the nearby Holds. Naldor proved reasonably adept at picking up techniques, and memorizing the various songs of Pern. He even showed an emerging knack for composing his own little ditties. But it was apparent that he would never be a brilliant harper like his master-- not that either of them minded much. Then in his third turn as an apprentice, to his and everyone else's mild surprise, the Searchriders marked him as a
potential Candidate as he was practicing in the bowl one day. He was startled that the dragons would want him, but he was happy to comply to their request that he stand for the hatching. That High Reaches clutch did not yield a lifemate to him, though, or to his sister, who had also been Searched. Both readily agreed to go to Silver Shores, which was the Weyr estimated to have the next clutch. His altered weyrlife hasn't been quite what he expected... more drudge work than being an apprentice! But even if he won't say it, he does enjoy the double-life that he leads.
