my mother was a home economics teacher
24 february 2001
and she use to try out different recipes on us
coq au vin rouge, torta d'aglio, farro con
funghi e carciofi
when i was growing up before she would
chicken in red wine, garlic pie, bulgur wheat with mushrooms
and artichoke hearts
teach them at school. i didn't start cooking
much myself until i went to college. i started
03 march 2000
experimenting more when i was 21 as i had
cous cous con "minestra" di agnello (alla casa di tony and piera)
a girlfriend who was a vegetarian. i was
cous cous with a "soup/sauce" of lamb
(at tony and piera's house in minturno)
primarily a vegetarian (at least no red meat)
chef: piera liaci bastidas
for quite some time. i cooked fairly often
when i lived in denver and occasionally in NYC
10 mar 01
(the kitchen was so small there it was difficult.)
pollo
alla mostarda e grano di farro con asparagi e funghi
when i moved to napoli is when i started
mustard chicken and bulgur wheat wich
asparagus and mushrooms
getting into it more. food/eating is like a
religion here and it is easy to get drawn into the
18 mar 01
cult. i have lived in two houses here and the
tacchino involtino e torta di
ceriali
kitchens in both have been spacious and
turkey wraps & assorted grains
pie
comfortable for me. i decided to buy a good set
of pans and knives and numerous cookbooks from
which i can draw ideas. i have been lucky that
my girlfriends here have liked to cook as well, as
it is always nice to have a cooking partner. i will
try to include recipes or at least ingredients when
i can. i tend to cook by how i feel and not so
much
by recipe. the majority of my friends like to cook
so much of our socializing is centered around eating
and discovering good wine. exploring italy for
good
restaurants, foods and wines has been one of my
favorite pastimes here. this page is dedicated to
food page
home cooked dinners prepared by myself and/or
(as noted) friends.
