I'm Kris(my nic is Hoarse), a 28-year-old female Bon Jovi freak. I live in Sydney, Australia and I'm the editorial co-ordinator at B magazine. I live at home with my Dad, brother Mike and our cat, Valentino (no prizes for guessing why that name!). I also have a sister, Jen, she's married (to Jim, they have two sons, Billy who's 6 & Andrew who's 2). My mum passed away in November, 1998 after battling cancer for four years. We'll never forget you mum! On to my 'obsession'... I first 'really' noticed the band back in 1986, while I was watching Video Hits and Wanted Dead or Alive was played. I'd heard You Give Love a Bad Name and Living on a Prayer before but it wasn't until I saw this clip that I sat up and listened! Although I must confess I actually took a dig at them saying, "Not another heavy metal band". But hey what did I know? I was 12 years old and listening to Whitney Houston, Lionel Richie and John Farnham. After that it took a cute boy, I met on a family picnic to play me a cassette which I later found out was Slippery When Wet. After that I was well and truly hooked! Since then I've managed to collect anything and everything I can lay my hands on. Be it official or not, I want it and try to get it. I own all the official albums including solo works. One of my fav items is my Slippery When Wet LP with the original cover (yes, the banned Japanese cover) which I picked up at a record fair, for $60. Bargain if you ask me! Over the years, I've been fortunate enough to see 55 Bon Jovi shows: 1987, September 18 - Slippery When Wet tour 1989, November 3 - New Jersey/Brotherhood on Tour 1993, Oct 13, 14 & 15 - Keep the Faith tour 1995, November 18 - The Concert of the Summer** **(plus press conference in Melbourne) 1997, October 21 & 22 - Destination Anywhere, JBJ solo tour (Sydney & Melbourne)** **(plus press conference, 2 Day FM radio station gig, The Midday Show, In Melbourne Tonight, Hey Hey It's Saturday & meet 'n' greet - Planet Hollywood, Melbourne) 1998, June 19, 20, 23 & 24 - Richie Sambora Australian Tour (Sydney & Melbourne) 1998, October 23 - 25 - Backstage with Jon Bon Jovi, Rocktober Sunfest Weekend** **(private show at Planet Hollywood, Miami, meet 'n' greet, soundcheck & concert at Y100 radio station anniversary show). 2000, August 5 - 25 - Crush European Tour** **(included shows in Finland, Sweden, Germany, Austria, England, Ireland) 2000, November 3 - 22 - Crush North American Tour** **(included shows in North Carolina, Florida, Boston, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Wilkes-Barre, New Jersey, Michigan, Chicago, Indianapolis plus a fanclub trip in Ft Lauderdale, Florida with a private show with Jon, Richie, Dave & Hugh) 2001, March 24 - The Universal Appeal Concert @ Colonial Stadium, Melbourne Australia (proceeds for show were donated to volunteer assocations which aide the flood, fire & relief victims) (I also went to the press conference that Bon Jovi, Jimmy Barnes, Michael Chugg & Paul Krige - Universal Music, attended). 2001, July 21 - 28 - One Wild Night Tour ** (included shows in Pittsburgh, Hershey, Boston, Camden, fanclub soundcheck party & 2 nights at Giants Stadium) 2002, Dec 8 - 14 - Rumba (included shows in Melbourne, Brisbane & Sydney plus an acoustic gig at Darling Harbour) 2003, June 20 - 28 - Bounce World Tour** **(included shows in Dublin, Glasgow, Wolverhampton, Manchester & London) You'll read/see more about the shows & meetings on BJ Times, Photo Album & UK Tour 2003.
