These are not us, actually... :-) But they are lovely family as well.

We are an Estonian family living permanently in Finland. We have moved to Finland from Tallinn, Estonia long time ago because of interesting research work in Helsinki university. We lived many years in Helsinki in Viikki, very green and peaceful district surrounded with forests and fields. In 1999 we have moved to Kuopio because Mati grew as a scientist and became a group leader in Kuopio university. In 2004 we moved back to Helsinki from Kuopio because of new job and hope that we'll not need to move again long time. We live now in large old house in Vesala and we have rather big garden (it looks more like forest). We both are researchers in the field of molecular biology, so nature is and always was very close to us, at work and at home. We all including our kids have a lot of different hobbies, but cat breeding is one of the most important among them (may be, it is not a hobby anymore, but better to say it is a style of life).

There are many members in our big family: Mati and Jelena (proud parents), Toomas and Daniel (our sons, 18 and 16 years old), several ragdoll and sphynx cats, persian cat. Sometimes, when we have ragdoll kittens, our family is even bigger and the number of its members increases considerably. Little kittens always bring a lot of additional work and trouble, but ragdoll babies are so sweet that it is happiness to breed them anyway.
