We fell in love with ragdoll cats in 1995. We have found the description of this breed in the literature and through the Internet and decided that Ragdoll is the best cat breed for us in the world. At that time there were only few ragdolls in Finland and we were really happy when in 1996 we have found seal colourpoint female kitten of show/breeding quality for sale in Tampere, Finland in Bitterblues cattery. It was exactly what we were looking for, a perfect little baby ragdoll Bitterblues Pillow Talk. From this cat our Ragdoll story has begun.

JJ's Purrecious Migi is our second ragdoll, he is a chocolate bicolour male. We were looking for a long time for our own perfect stud boy and in spring 1997 we had found him in California, USA. Migi arrived from JJ's Purrecious cattery from well known American breeders Manfred and Johanna Schiedeck. He became our favourite from the first day when we have met him in the airport. The best thing in Migi is his wonderful temperament, he is a real angel. In addition Migi is beautiful show cat. It was not a surprise for us that Migi became European Champion quite soon and did great at shows.

During last years we have met many ragdoll fans, got experienced in ragdoll care and breeding, visited a lot of cat shows. We started to breed our own ragdolls under the name "Hobbit-Dolls". First five adorable Hobbit-Dolls kittens were born August 5, 1998 from our ragdoll pair Bitterblues Pillow Talk and JJ's Purrecious Migi, all of them very sweet and handsome. All those kittens were perfect according to standard, they had big sizes and wonderful silk coats. We were very proud and happy that the beginning of our breeding program was so successful.

It was just the beginning. After that our experience and also Hobbit-Dolls cattery grew all the time. We imported three more ragdolls from USA: LaCasaDolce Lady Grace (blue bicolour), Villaroyal Lord Gordon (blue bicolour) and Ragmeister's Dear One (seal bicolour). We imported also one ragdoll from Canada (blue colourpoint Palacedolls Charisma) and one from New Zealand (seal bicolour Kiwimagic Aotearoa). In addition to these imported cats we bought one new very handsome Finnish ragdoll - Erkatin Greetta Giselle. In 2003 we started to dream about red and lynx ragdolls and we have now these new colours too.

Starting from 1998 we have bred many Hobbit-Dolls ragdoll litters and we have got a lot of really lovely and nice kittens. From our kittens we keep several special Hobbit-Dolls cats ourselves. We were simply not able to give away all of them. Ragdoll breeding became a part of our lives. Now we can not imagine our life without cats. We hope that this story will continue and more beautiful ragdolls will appear to this world from Hobbit-Dolls cattery.
