I have started a new hobby, building 1/6th scale radio control tanks. I'd like to share some pictures of this with you here on this page. |

This is the beast, a 1/6th scale version of the german Tiger I tank. Complete and running quite well under R/C control. I am using two 24volt wheelchair motors, a Roboteq controller and four 7.5 amp hour batteries. The radio is a Futaba 6XAS PCM radio on 75Mhz.surface frequency. Independant recievers in the turret and hull allow for the turret to rotate as many times as one likes without binding the wires. A VR camera system and gogles sighted beside the barrel make it a more realistic experience as well. |
