* Events Notice * - We would please ask ALL participants to assist with our group events. The more you help, the more fun our events will be. Guests welcomed, the more, the merrier.

HTC - Hoboken Tennis Club is area community based All Volunteer Members sports interest association. HTC compliments and supports other Hoboken Area sports, social and community groups. All HTC event organizers donate their time and pay for their own participation fees in all events. Any group event fees that participants pay just cover the court rental fees and equipment costs. You are just paying your own way or your fair share of your own participation costs. Much like paying for your own dinner. Our volunteer group's individual event organizers make zero dollars, it's all volunteer and their time is donated.

Event Pre-payments are requested for fully confirmed guaranteed reserved player spots and are only requested so other tennis players aren't stuck with court costs, for no shows.

Only those with a confirmation guaranteed reservation spot will be allow to play

Price Includes Court Rental Fees Tennis and Balls for each court - BYOB & Snacks

Play Level for this Event is Intermediate for partners rated or guesstimated to be - USTA 3.0 or above, so beginners probably NOT going to be comfortable with this competition level. Later this year we will have beginners are welcome events.

Registration Deadline - Friday Jan 17^th by 4pm– All Payments must be received by then. Spaces are limited, so if the event sells out before this date, we will post an announcement on the HTC Jan18th event website. .

SOCIAL TENNIS - What is it? & Our Goals for our Events

Our HTC - Hoboken Tennis Social Tennis Events & Program Prioritizes

1) Social mixed doubles finesse tennis.

2) Having friends and your guests join us.

3) Enjoying the exercise and social party section of our event, over the demanding tennis court time and playing at the highest level.

We all volunteer our time for organizing these events, if you'd like to help out we would love to hear from you. Everyone is recommendations have been great, the only thing limiting us all is, how much personal time we can donate or put toward the coordination of additional event tasks. Every little bit of your help will be welcomed and appreciated. .

With that I like to thank our other HTC - Hoboken Tennis tennis volunteer coordinators who have been especially helpful in growing our events and program.

Please keep in mind all these volunteers donate all this work, just for the social fun. None of us shares even a penny for all our efforts, so at least you should know we take our fun and laughs seriously.

A "2001 Best of New York" winner, Manhattan Plaza is packed with amenities, including a sauna and a posh viewing lounge. To use the sauna, you'll need to join the club, but to take lessons with one of its pros, you can avoid coughing up the $900 membership fee.
Private Lessons: With a former touring pro $70/hour (plus $30 court fee); other instructors, $35/hour (plus court fee)
Tennis Clinics: Hour-and-a-half group sessions, $35
Group Lessons: Four weekly sessions, $180

Pay for parking is available on the 42nd Street side of this building Between 9th and 10th Avenues

Demo Racquet Service -$5 If you would like to try a demo of All the latest Racquets MPRC does have a good selection from which to choose. To use the Demo racquet while you play, you'll need to put a credit card down as the security deposit.

Location - The Entrance for the tennis courts is set of doors to the direct LEFT hand side of the entrance to Food Emporium SuperMarket.

Caution - NO BLACK SOLED SHOES OR SNEAKERS ARE ALLOWED ON THE COURTS. MPRC - Manhattan Plaza facility has All hard surface courts. Unfortunately, the MPRC Staff will deny you access to the courts and ask you to leave. Sorry, your fee will not be refunded.

Our court rental ends at 10PM. The entire MPRC facility closes shortly after our court time is over at 10pm. The MPRC staff asks everyone to leave the facility by 10:15pm, so if you are planning on grabbing a shower after tennis, It must be a very quick one.

RESERVATION PAYMENT Admin Conditions & Notes

1)     All fees paid Reservation Fees are Non-Refundable unless we can find people to take your reserved spot.   We provide NO REFUNDS for advanced reservations, unless we can replace you. :

2)     Event Registrations Close 24 Hours before the start of our events, or before if sold out . So getting hold of us at the last minute is not recommended.

3)      Funds Clearance -All Tennis pre-payments using whatever method must be fully cleared at least 48 Hours prior to event

4)      PayPal payments $42. This is higher cost that others to accommodate paypals admin fee

5)      CHECKS - The last date to receive Checks - ( Check receipt deadline is three days before the event date ), so they can have time to clear before the date of the event.

6)      Bounced checks you'll be expected to pay all Bank Fines and fees incurred plus full fees on Full Amount of your check.

7)     Please note - Each payment type has a date acceptance cutoff or last accepted dates before events, since even electronic Payments need time to clear before our Tennis events.

8)     Our event list closes 24 to 48 before all NYC Tennis events, if we are not sold out in advance. .
