One of many Slavonic forms descended from the Roman Alphabet. Many of their 40 letters are only copies of other letters with accents or hachecks (i.e. curve above the letter) which alter pronunciation. Czech has many dialectical rules, and the best simple start we have seen on the web for learning all correct sounds is Michael Martin's Pronunciation Guide. Note a * signifies a hachek over the final R, which cannot be typed on an ASCII keyboard. Also note all Rs are trilled in the Czech language. |
