Copyright 2001-2006. Everything on this is site is MINE, MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA. ...........If you wanna use something on this site, go right ahead. What am I going to do? Chase you down with an eggbeater and make you give it back? Too messy. Kidnap your gerbil and hold it ransom? Too cruel. Sob quietly to myself in an empty corner of a dark room away from all human contact? Probably. .....At least tell me if you want something. I won't bite. I'll just come to your house and kick your dog.
LotR: The Fellowship of the Ring (PG-13)
Rating: A
This movie is beautiful. Just about everything is perfect. With the exception of a few scenes that seem to drag on and on, I can find little about which to complain. The original story by J.R.R Tolkien is faithfully represented in silver screen form, the characters are all accurately cast, and the cinematography is absolutely breathtaking. You can't help but find yourself pulling for little Frodo (Elijia Wood) and his fellowship as they struggle against evil, nature, and themselves. The trilogy begins with the Dark Lord Sauron forging a ring of ultimate power in the fires of an aptly named Mt. Doom. Following a nearly apocalyptic battle, Sauron is defeated and the ring is subsequently lost; that is, until it is picked up by a hobbit named Bilbo Baggins, who takes it from the creature Golem. Hero of The Hobbit, Bilbo ultimately bequeaths this One Ring to Frodo Baggins, who takes on the responsibility of ultimately destroying the ring in the same place was created, the fires of Mt. Doom.
Lord of the Rings is simply incredible, and few can wait for The Two Towers, the second installment of the trilogy, to arrive December 18th. In the meantime, you can pick up the new DVD and watch all the added special features (like Making Of...) to hold you over.
