Among life blessings, Children are the greatest blessing of all
Only a parent will understand how hard it is to put down into a few paragraphs the love, the joy and pride you have for your children. Please bare with me here, as I try to do the impossible, and tell you just how precious my children are to my heart.
Sasha Daniele
Our second born, Sasha Daniele, made her appearance on May 26, 1994. Since the day she was born Sasha has been the ultimate charmer! She was the happiest of babies and was the perfect addition to complete our family. One of the first things I learned about having a second child is that you have to make their "alone time" with Mom and Dad. With an active older brother constantly on the go around the house, Sasha and I found our quiet time together in the middle of the night during her feeding times. It is those times that I recall most fondly when I think back to Sasha's baby years.
As Sasha continued to grow it did not take her family long to realize that she was going to march through life to her own little tune. Even at a very young age she was a very determined, independent, secure little lady who knew the way she wanted to go, and that is the way she went. Frustrating? Oh yes, it certainly was there for awhile! It took me sometime to learn to celebrate her unique way of seeing life and actually embrace the strong young lady she was becoming, and help guide her in whatever way I could. At 8 years old she has quite the budding little personality!

It has always been very important to both Carl and I, that our children grow up with respect and compassion for the world around them. We have tried to instill in Derek, and his sister, that they can make a difference, in one life or in the world. If the desire is in their heart, there is nothing that can stop either of them. Anyone who knows Derek well, will agree he is one of the softest hearted, most generous little guys they know. As he continues to mature and reach more people in his life the possibilites for him will be endless. But no matter how old he is, or how far he travels, or how many lives he touches, I will always treasure that little boy inside....reguarless of time, he will always be his Mom's "sunshine".
