Welcome to the first ever APHL All-Stars Skills Contest. Tonight the APHL presents some of their best talents as we demonstrate the player’s abilities.
The following will be the 7 events that are going to test our players on their specific skills. The winner of each event will give his team one point.

Event #4 : Hardest Shot
Event #5 : Fastest Skater
Event #6 : Goaltender Empty Net Goals
Event #7 : Shot Accuracy
APHL All-Star Skills Contest
Event # 1: Puck Control Relay
Three Skaters from each team carry the puck through an obstacle of pilons in a relay fashion. One skater from each team race against each other, then Skater #2 starts when skater #1 finishes the course and son on. The first team to have all three skaters finish the course, wins the event.

Event # 2: Rapid Fire
The six goaltenders from both teams will face two shooters, which will have five pucks each. A goaltender will face his two shooters at the same time where they will fire one puck each until they both shoot five pucks. The shooters will be positioned at the top of the faceoff circles, which will force the goaltender to move side to side between each slot. The team who stops the most of the 30 shots determines the winner.

Event # 4: Hardest Shot
Each team has five shooters who will each have two attempts. The winner will be the team who has the hardest shot measured by the radar gun. The player that records the highest rate of speed will be deemed as having the hardest slapshot in the APHL.

Event # 5: Fastest Skater
Each team will have five skaters who will lap the rink one time. The fastest time will be deemed the fastest skater in the APHL.

Event # 7: Shot Accuracy
Each team will have five shooters who will each take a maximum of eight shots, or 20 seconds which ever comes first. The idea is to destroy the four targets, which have been placed in each of the four corners of the net. The player will stand in the slot, while two teammates feed him pucks. The team who destroys the most targets combined will determine the winner. The player who has the least amount of shots taken while destroying the most targets (Max 4) will be deemed the most accurate shot in the APHL.
