It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of our little black piggy, Jingles. She had so many health problems that after e-rays even the vet thought it best to put her down. She loved to "popcorn" in Karen's arms and wheeking when the treats came. She enjoyed her kale, carrots, carrot greens, pumpkin seeds, hay, and tomatoes the most. She will be deeply missed by everyone.
Jingles is my first guinea pig. She is completely black. She is 4 years old. Jingles was about 5 weeks old when I got her on December 11, 1999. She loves just about any kind of fresh fruits and vegetables that we have but her favorite food is tomatoes. Jingles has a spot on her chest that no one is allowed to touch, if anyone tries she bites at them. I don't know why she has that "special spot," but when holding her you have to be careful not to touch it. When I am holding Jingles, she likes to climb up to my left shoulder, that is her favorite place to sit. While in her cage she likes to go under her "blankie" which is a dishtowel. She has a fascination with the fan. When the fan is on the floor, she always runs right to it, and puts her front paws on the base and sniffs up at it. Then she walks around it a few times, stopping to sniff up at it every couple of steps. Jingles also likes it when I sing "Jingle Bell Rock" to her, that is her favorite song. |
