"So..." you're asking yourself, "what is Large Group anyway?" Well, to put it
simply, it is a time to get together to seek and worship God with music, prayer,
and drama. Hofstra Intervarsity Christian Fellowship typically meets during the semeseter every
Thursday night at 7:15 p.m. at Room 219 in the Student Center. There is also an
occasional guest speaker who expounds on God's word. One of the greatest things
about Hofstra IV is the incredible community and friendships that have been
built. Large Group is a great time to see everyone and, for first time guests, a
place to meet a ton of really cool people. For more information contact us hofstraivcf@yahoo.com
A Small Group is a place for students to come together each week to learn more about the Bible and how it can change their lives. All Small Groups are led by at least one student or a staff member. Whether you live on or off campus, a Small Group is a great way to build friendships with other students and also an excellent place to share your life with people who care about you. Don't think of a Small Group as just a place to read the Bible. It is also a place of fellowship and community with old and new friends.
What do Small Groups do?
Small Groups meet together once a week to learn how their lives can be changed through the practical application of God's Word. Every semester, each Small Group studies a book in the Bible, a Biblical theme, or a topical Christian book that uses the Bible to deal with an area of growth for that particular Small Group. Small Groups also do some extracurricular activities, such as camping trips, dinner, throwing parties for members of the group, pranks and much, much more!
