Okay, here's how it works. This "guided plot" is designed to keep the RPG going and keep it from getting stagnant. If you've even been in a RPG before, you know what I mean: useless posts, no story, no posts, etc. We will type the set-up for the guided plot and have "assigned" main character(s) and evil "things". That way there will be a storyline, but it can go many different ways, depending on how the characters post and how everyone else posts. A storyline can begin being centered around one or two people and change focus in the middle and end up focusing on someone else. Some storylines or parts of storylines will be "general", which have no focus. All main characters (evil or good) will have agreed to be a main character before we start the GP.

Every once in a while, the story will end and a new one will begin. This will hopefully keep people posting, the same storyline gets old. If we're lucky, it will be because we've "finished" one and had a conclustion (which will probably be followed by some sort of celebration). We may even have contests for students to make up new guided plots. At the end of a Guided Plot, the Headmistresses will go through the posts and adward points for each in-character post that is relevant to the plot. The points will range from 1-10, with possible bonus for brilliant posts. *wink* ;)

The Guided Plot (or GP, for short) can take place on ANY message board on the forum (except for the OOC/Help message boards, of course). This means that there may be two parts to the guided plot going on at the same time. For example, there could be one in the dining hall at the same time as there is one in the Gryffindor common room. Unless you have two different characters, you cannot post in two GP lines at the same time (for this would mean that your character is in two different places at the same time, which is not possible). Your character could leave one line and go into another, that's fine, but you can't be in two places at once.

While the GP can take place on any message board in the forum, it will mainly take place in the Great Hall, the Forbidden Forest, the Dining Hall, or the Common Rooms.

Forbidden Forest
Great Hall (anything inside the school)
Away (anywhere else)
