Book List Pt.II
Echo by Francesca Lia Block:  Woah this was a pretty confusing book.  Some people may think it's deep and inspiring or something...I mean, this girl dances for these boys and she can see inside their souls, but it just jumps here and there wayyy too much.  I found myself not knowing the difference between Echo and whoever else there was.  Still, it was a pretty good read and I read it in a day.
Smack by Melvin Burgess:  This book is about two teens who think they're in love...and they run away from home.  The boy, by the name of Tar, has a reason to runaway because his parents are abusive.  On the other hand, Gemma just runs away because she can't handle her parents (even though they're only being like parents...concerned).  They meet new people and get into drugs....then into smack (heroin).  It goes on about how it's so hard to get off it and stuff.  This book took me a while but it wasn't all that bad.  Check it out.
The Perks Of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky:  This book was like...woah.  It's written in a letter formet...a boy writing letters to some anonymous person.  It talks about his first year in high school experience and it uncovers why he's different from a lot of other people.  It was just very deep and touching and blah blah...all that kind of stuff.  I had to do it for a book talk...arghhh..this book is not a good idea for a book talk, trust me.
Life, The Universe and Everything by Douglas Adams:  This is the third book in the Hitcher's Guide to the Galaxy series.  I'll admit, it wasn't as good as the first two...but it was still pretty funny.  Certain parts were just too obnoxious though, as if he was overly trying to make it funny/stupid.
Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen:  First girl loves boy.....then girl finds out about boy...girl hates boy.  Boy starts loving girl.  Girl is confused.  Story is flipped.  That's pretty much it.  It's a pretty flaky story but it'll keep you entertained.  I did this one for a literature project...and that turned out alright.
Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk:  The story is amazing.  I mean, a whole series of fight club starting off with some naked guy on the beach and one friend punching another.  And when you get to the part where you find they're the same person...it's like...woaaah.  Hope I'm not spoiling anything. Okay here's a version that won't spoil much:  It's about making soap from people's fat and spitting in their food.  Yeah.
Empress of the World by Sara Ryan:  I just so happened to pick this book out of the library without reading the storyline or anything.  I was bored and I needed something to read.  The characters are pretty weak in this story and it's not written very well, still it's a pretty good book.  It's about lesbians, if you wanted to know.  It's about a girl discovering she could be a lesbian because she's gone to this summer camp and she can't take her mind of this one girl named Battle.
Keeping The Moon by Sarah Dessen:  When you look at the cover of this book you get turned off.  When you read the back of this book you get turned off more.  You think, "Why am I even wasting my time holding this book?"  Well, that's just how I felt.  But, I gave this book a chance and I found that I really liked it, a lot.  It's mainly about this girl who's been teased all her life going to live with her aunty for the summer.  During this time she gets a job and she meets new people....and she finds herself.  She finds that she can be beautiful, it's just that she had to believe in herself.

More books to come once I read them...just about finished with "A Separate Peace" which turned out to be a pretty good book....anyway, bye for now.
