Introduction

During the accomplishment of this project, you are going to identify some of the most important Hispanic painters of the past and the present. You will describe works of art from different art movements and will develop writing skills using the present, past and future tenses. You will develop oral skills by sharing information with others and demonstrate ability to research topics in the  LRC and the WWW.

The Task
You and a partner will be assigned a Hispanic artist that you both will research using LRC material as well as the Web.  You will present your findings to the class together and you will also write a report on the artist individually.

The Process

#  You will be assigned to a team of three students to research a Hispanic artist (name will be supplied).
#  You will decide what elements of h/er art and life each of you will research.
#  You will need to provide evidence of notes from at least two printed sources.
#  You will provide printed copies of information from at least two websites.
#  Each group will do a presentation of its findings to class in English. These presentations will be videotaped.
#  Create a large visual (poster, drawing, photos, etc.) of the artist that provides evidence of work by the group.
#  Each student will develop, type and hand in 5 trivia questions with the answers relating to the information shared with class. No dates, please! These will be handed in after presentation along with the art visual. (The questions will be used to play a game in class.)
#  Each student will write a report on assigned artist in Spanish that will include a cover page and a bibliography. The report will be typed and double spaced. Hand in necessary evidence mentioned above with the report.
#  Each group will do a Power Point Presentation on the artist with each member providing 3 slides.
