Remembrance Day 1999

For two years from November 1997, the village of Paull worked hard to raise the funds needed to erect a memorial to all those men from the village who died in the two World Wars. In 1999 they finally reached their target - almost 25% of the total was raised by the work of some of the Rangers and the then Paull Guides.

The new memorial was dedicated on November 13th 1999: these photos show (top) the standards of the Royal British Legion and in the foreground the Rangers with the Union Flag standard, and (bottom) Mikaela laying a trefoil poppy wreath at the War Memorial Dedication Service on behalf of the Guides and Rangers.
