All About Lincoln Ho Of all the accomplishments that I have achieved, of the awards I have received, of the music I've written, and of the friends I've made all along the way, here's a site about me. How nice, eh? A site finally devoted to me and me alone. I feel so special. I am so honored to tell you that all of the biography and such is written by me, myself and I in third person. Hey, I believe it looks and sounds more professional doing it this way. Saying "I" did this and "I" did that just doesn't appeal to me. That's my way of thinking so please respect that (ok, try to think I'm not weird...). Now let's get going shall we? Current page: http://www.oocities.org/holinghang/biography.html Biography of Lincoln Ho Born in 1983 as Ho Ling Hang in Hong Kong, Lincoln Ho and his family moved to Toronto, Canada in 1989 to start a better life. In 1990, they moved to Edmonton where he currently lives. Growing up in Edmonton for over a decade, he has learned his values from living in a small urban neighbourhood and has learned to be fluent in both English and Cantonese, speaking the latter at home. He has traveled to many parts of the world, including Europe, Asia, and Canada's Southern neighbour, the United States. He often likes to call himself a British Canadian because he is patriot to Canada and her British associations. Ho has been involved in many community activities and organisations such as taking Cantonese and Japanese classes, being involved in Pioneer Clubs, taking piano and violin lessons, singing with school vocal jazz ensembles, the Royal Canadian Air Cadets, the St. John Ambulance Brigade, and church. He accepted Christ and became a Christian in 1999. In 2001, he took part as a member of Edmonton's Youth Understanding Youth group in the annual Edmonton Gay Pride Parade. Ho has achieved many accomplishments including: the top cadet recruit award in 1996; winning first place in the mathematics Gauss contest in which he scored 150/150 points in 1996; two scholarships from McNally CHS for practicing his passion, singing; an award of thanksgiving from Her Excellency, The Right Honorable Adrienne Clarkson, Governor General of Canada; the Director's Award for music; and most recently, the McNally Award of Excellence for Fine Arts through music. In his senior year at high school, he received the honour of writing and performing both the Chinese and English Graduation songs for the McNally Class of 2001. Lincoln is now a student at the University of Alberta, which is one of Canada's top three in overall rank. Taking first year arts, he hopes to obtain a major in sociology, minor in choral music, and get an after degree in education. Other than his Arts courses, he has made all his auditions for the U of A Mixed Chorus, U of A Concert Choir, and the U of A Vocal Jazz Ensemble, Happinin'. He recently was also a member of the Alberta University and College Honour Choir, performing at the world renowned Sir Francis Winspear Centre for Music. With music influences being Natalie Imbruglia, Sally Yeh, Westlife, and so on, Ho plans to be a great singer/song-writer, writing songs and sharing the universal language with all walks of life and contributing as much as he can with his God given talent. With over 100 written compositions ranging from mainstream pop to concert band songs to choral to techno to contemporary 20th century movements, he dreams of singing one day in front of thousands of people like he did with Shania Twain in 1999 and selling multiple amounts of albums that contribute to the needy. In the few years to come as he finishes his education at the Universitry of Alberta, he becomes one step closer to his dream that is so vivid in his mind - to become a humanitary recording artist.
