War

It is pointless for a pointless cause. Many may say it's for freedom but we are half way around the globe. There is no way that you can say that someone in Germany in the early part of this century was to take over Canada and the United States.

They fought for our rights? They just interfered and made the situation worse, just to show off what power we have. Sure, HItler may have done a lot of wrong but it wasn't our war and it wasn't for our rights or freedoms. It gave us rights to die. Millions of lives gone in a year.

We may have lost one of the greatest leaders in history, though his "evil" actions may have arguments against that point. He shaped history and it is important for this to happen, so we keep on going?

On November 11, let us remember the stupidity of the Canadian government to send our troops to hell. Let's remember that no one benifitted from the war and that all that happened was that we did it countless times over and over again after that.

Lest we forget the brave men and women that were told to believe that they were fighting for a country that was in no harm: Lest we forget the time that Canada was invaded by the Nazi Germans, or the time when Hitler first stepped on Canadian soil, or the bombs that were dropped in Montreal.

But the world can't survive without pain and suffering. Who is willing to volunteer themself for the good of humanity? We see people dying, let's dig the hole a lot deeper and see if we can get out of another one.

This world is dying. It is falling apart because of hate, anger, for prosperity, wealth, or just for the enjoyment of watching people die.

If we take the time to think, we can reduce the pain right here at home. Who around you is in a war of their own? We need to share and give our love and compassion to each other. All we need in this world is a little bit of love. It won't eliminate the pain but it will help. It may not do global changes, but it will affect your community, then another, then maybe, if enough follow, then onto the global scale.

Stop and think. Have some courtesy, and give a random act of kindness. Who knows, maybe it will heal the heart of the next "Hitler".
