Hannah - between 4 and 5 months old.
She sure is getting big! At her 4 month Dr's appt she weighed 13 lbs 4 oz and was 24 1/4 inches long. So she is just under double her birth weight. I thought my back was starting to hurt! Hannah started eating solids this month - rice cereal - YUM!! She was very interested in it the first day, and liked grabbing the spoon and shoving it in her mouth. Most of it goes down her bib. Thats ok, we are just practicing and learning right now. She is doing well at daycare, and we are getting used to the new routine. It is hard but getting easier. We play a lot when we are home together. She is quickly becoming a daddys girl!! Hannah gives Dave a huge smile when he gets home from work. Dave bought her the cutest outfits for her to wear this fall and for christmas. Hannah still loves to play in her excersaucer and she has learned to pick up her rattle of the table, drop it, pick it up.... over and over again. She is also facinated with Igor and Babushka. Igor will let her touch him but Bushka wants nothing to do with it. I am surprised how tolerant Igor is to her grabbing and pinching him - especially since he doesn't like kids much. I think its because he knows she is a part of our family and the fact that she can't chase him helps!! We will see what happens when she goes mobile!! |
