      Biography

The daughter of a hunter and a seamstress, Trin grew up on the outskirts of a small village in the cold, northern woods of the kingdom of Velrad. She had no desire to marry right away, and her parents did not force this. She was apprenticed to the village healer for several years, but when she expressed her wish to travel, Trin's parents gave her their blessing. After several months of unhurried wandering, she finally made her way south to RavensDale, where she has found the odd job occasionally. She prefers not to take the really dirty or low jobs, instead working at what she enjoys when she can get such work, and hunting for her food at other times. She has been known to sing or play the flute in exchange for a night's rest or some bread or vegetables. She lives a simple life, but not one of real poverty; she never feels the lack of anything.

Trin began to notice strange happenings with the weather not long after she came to RavensDale. Back home it was never talked about, but the whole village knew her mother was an elf. Her mother, however, had never shown much sign of magic, aside from a talent for music. So Trin could not explain the strange weather fluctuations that accompanied her suddenly changing moods. She tries to stay out in the country as much as possible, in order to keep the changes in weather in a relatively unpopulated area. She has been thinking of moving on, however, possibly continuing south. She has heard of a kingdom in that direction called Tybar, and although she has heard there is much conflict and war there- a thing she hates- she feels a strange drive to go. She does not understand why, but she believes she must obey that urge.
