Do you remember back in March of 2002 when I wrote about a fan who wanted to have a Nancy Carroll poster* he owned, restored ? Well, I have good news and it's just in time for what would have been Nancy's 99th birthday. Today, Peter Miller of NY, sent me a jpg of the complete restoration. It was a lengthy and expensive venture, but well worth it. Mr. Miller is very pleased with the results, and I am sure you will be too!
* I must clarify that this poster is actually an original painting on masonite board, except for the photograph of Nancy and Phillips, which was most likely provided by the studio. It is NOT just another cardboard or paper lithograph poster. The restoration process required the artist to re-create the missing portion of the photograph. It is a very rare piece, and I feel very fortunate to be able to display it here.
