An occasional 50 minute show written by and starring Benny Hill, featuring
comedy sketches and bawdy songs.
In 1979 ten years worth of programmes were re-edited into 25 minute programmes and
sold to the USA where they were screened twice nightly from coast to coast, with the result that 'Benny Hill' became a cult figure almost over night.
In 1971 the show won a British Acadamy (BAFTA) Award for "Best Light-Entertainment Programme"
