Interview with Nana Visitor and Alex Siddig:

Nana: "The cast and crew on DS9 did not release how serious our relationship had become. We have been close pals since the show started in 1992. Alexander's girlfriends were always over at my house, crying on my shoulder. My ex-husband actually went and moved in with Alexander when we broke up. We really were friends, no one suspected anything because there was nothing to suspect, but when they had to start to deliver his scripts to my house they sort of figured it out!".

Siddig: "It took me 3 years to pluck up the courage to approach Nana, she is a very formidable lady. We planned a holiday trip together to go to England and she backed out at the last minute!"

Nana: "I was afraid. I just knew we were going to have a romance if I went"

Siddig: "For months we had these dinners with lots of what they call in the television world, 'sexual tension'. And then finally, the tension was...."

Nana: "And I'm due in September!"

Nana's pregnancy will be written into the show. It will not however be her baby that she is carrying, it will be Keiko O' Brien's baby. When it is discovered that Keiko can not carry her child full term, the baby will be transplanted into Major Kira.
